So let's just deal with it correctly from the beginning, wear waterproof makeup and no one has to get hurt.

2. Always wear fake eyelashes!
I know this one might be a little controversial, but hear me out. You want to look the best you have ever looked, glamorous, romantic, and natural at the same time. You want to look beautiful like you never have before, but still yourself. Eyelashes are a fun way to enhance your eyes, yes even if you have long eyelashes, and an easy, natural way to make your makeup different from any other day. There are different types of lashes, for a more dramatic look you can choose the full strip, but if you want a more natural enhancing look go for the individual lashes. If you still don't trust me and you are using a professional makeup artist, ask them about your options (they should have a few), and ask them to apply them for your trial.

3. Get your trial makeup done for your engagement pictures.
This is a great way to make sure that you like your makeup and that it photographs well. You will also be able to see how it lasts throughout a day of smiling, kissing, hugging, maybe a tear or two. Once you get your pictures back you can decide what you like and don't like and make a better decision of whether or not you want to book that makeup artist, choose a different style, or do it yourself.

4. If you are planning to spray tan
I know I have read and heard a lot of "DO NOT tan before your wedding day!" I do agree that there is nothing worse than an orange bride, but not all tanning solutions turn people orange. Here are suggestions for fake tanning: 
1.) Make sure it is custom airbrush; it leaves less room for error. 
2.) Do a tanning trial a month or two before so you can see whether or not it will turn you orange. 
3.) If you like it and want it for the wedding, make sure you do it three days before hand. This gives it time to blend well and fix any mistakes there might be.

5. Be Honest!
Your makeup artist and hairdresser want you to be COMPLETELY honest during the trial session. That is what they are for! Don't worry about hurting feelings (well, you can still be polite in saying it) but make sure that you are very honest and specific with what you want.  It makes it easier for the artist and you will be happier with the end result.

6. Make your own touch up bag
You will definitely need touch ups. That is just a given. It is a good idea to ask yourmakeup artist what products they used for mascara and lips so you can go out and buy it and have it on hand for the day. If they used a special blend of their own products, have then put a little extra in a little plastic baggy and make sure to bring something to apply it with (Maid of honor's finger is fine). 

7. Use a makeup artist.
Since this is one of the most important days of your life, I would recommend that you hire a professional makeup artist. You are hiring professionals in every other area, why not makeup and hair? I always say the most important vendors you choose are the photographer, videographer, and makeup artist because they are the memories you take with you from your day. Does it matter if you looked fabulous the day of, but the camera didn't pick up the makeup well? You don't want to be looking at your photos afterward thinking, "I know I looked beautiful, but you can't tell!" You want your memories to show how beautiful you really looked.

8. Make sure the makeup used, by your professional or otherwise, is long-lasting and HD quality.
This is very important!! Two things you want your makeup to do: last all day/night and look good in pictures. Some good long lasting makeup (and HD quality) is airbrush — usually good for 12-18hours. Another tip is to apply primer about 10 minutes before foundation. Some good primers are NARS or SmashBox. These days every photographer and videographer is using HD quality equipment. This is fabulous because you pictures will look great. You just want to make sure that you are wearing makeup that will come out fabulous in the pictures. The best option for this is airbrush makeup. The way that it sprays on is pixelated and has the best results on camera. If you can't find someone who airbrushes you can still find HD quality foundation. 9. Shape your eyebrows
Have you ever noticed the difference between someone who takes care of their eyebrows and someone who just lets them grow? I know I do, because I can tell on myself. When I have my eyebrows waxed I feel like a new woman! It can make so much of a difference.If you have never gotten your eyebrows waxed or shaped before, go to a professional a couple months before. That way if you don't like it you will have time to grow them out. If you do like it, continue going to the same person and keep it up until the wedding. The last time you should get your eyebrows waxed should be at least 3 days before the wedding. This gives you enough time to make sure you don't have red above and below your eyes and that the makeup will go on smooth.​ 

10. Don't forget your makeup artist or hair stylist!!
After you have been beautified for your perfect day, make sure you show some love to the people who got you there! Makeup artists and hair stylist are always looking to update their portfolio and the best way to do that is with the professional pictures from your photographer. Make sure when it is said and done and you have some pictures back, you let your stylist know that they can get them printed out and use them for their website and literature, etc. It would be a huge help to them! Have you ever noticed when coming back from a tropical vacation, people making comments about your great tan?  Tanning has been a trend since the early 20th century.  However, there are many health risks associated with tanning.  The sun's UV rays have a great impact on skin, which include aging, sun damage and skin cancer.

There is an alternative to sunbathing.  It is called sunless tanning, airbrush tanning or spray tanning.  This is a healthier choice to golden one's skin without the risk of sun damage.  Indoor tanning salons became popular in the 1980s.  Today, it has become a $2 billion a year industry within the United States.

Since early 2000s, airbrush tanning has taken over the world.  It offers people a way to maintain a healthy looking tone without the harmful sun UV rays.  In addition, this is another way for people to stay away from other tanning methods such as tanning beds.  The most exciting part about sunless tanning is they look good and natural.  

How does it work?
Airbrush tanning/Spray Tanning works by applying a special mist on the body.  The process can be an automated booth or hand applied.  The product includes something called dihydroxyacetone (DHA).  This interacts with dead skin cells by have a chemical reaction leaving them golden brown cosmetically.  Paraben-free is the way to be If you don't know what a paraben is, you're not alone. However, not knowing can be dangerous! A paraben is a type of preservative that, unfortunately, has been linked to different forms of cancer. No tan is worth risking your health!

Spray tanning solutions can actually be good for your skin Even though spray tanning technically consists of spraying a bunch of chemicals onto your skin, it doesn't have to be an unhealthy process. In fact, there are plenty of quality spray tanning solutions out there that are trying to make your skin healthier! How so? Some of them have antioxidants in them - the same things you find in so-called "super foods". Others contain CoQ10 - a nutrient that's a proven cell-booster. Some spray tanning solutions even have special moisturizers in them that can help soothe otherwise-damaged skin.

Depending on applications, the mist will be water or oil based.  People with sensitive skin should choose the water base.  Most salons offer different levels of darkening.  Someone with pale skin should not go too dark to avoid looking fake—no matter the quality of the product.

Do Spray Tans look Natural?
In spray tanning, the mist will temporarily make the skin golden brown—not orange.  The skin color changes from the chemical mist.  If applied correctly, there is no worry about streaks on the skin.  The products have been well tested to ensure even the fairest skin can get a golden glow. 

Does it Smell?
Organic spray tan solutions can help you avoid any odor, Some people shy away from spray tanning because the chemicals don't smell very good. Luckily, you can have a great tan AND give your nose some relief with an organic solution! Since they don't come with a ton of harsh chemicals, organic spray tan solutions don't come with the same harsh smell. That way, you won't have to pinch your nose while you wait for everything to dry!

How Long Does it Last?
Depending on how the spray tan is maintained.  It can last approximately five to seven days.  If before a session, you exfoliate the dead skin you will have a better chance for a longer tan.  In addition avoiding harsh dry soaps will also help keep the glow for more time. Finally, always make sure the skin is moisturized well. Use an Aloe based moisturizer to help nourish depleted skin cells and prevents and uneven shedding that will result in a patch snake skin peel look as the skin cells regenerate.

Will it stain my clothes?
Since spray tan is a colorless mist that changes against the skin, it doesn't stain clothing.  If the film from the mist does get on clothes, it can wash off easily.  This doesn't mean to wear your favorite white dress or tee-shirt to a session.  Also, sweating can cause the DHA to get on clothes as well.  However if you use choose a tanning solution with instant bronzer you do need to take caution as the temporary bronzers are transferable onto clothing.

Helpful Tips to remember: 

• Avoid deodorant & moisturizer before.
  

     Many deodorants will stop spray tanning solution going through. Some others will      
     turn  the armpits green.

• Wax before spray tan. If you want to wax then do it before you get spray tanning. Wax after getting a spray tan can take off some of your tan with the hair.

• All spray tanning solutions can make a mess No matter how many different high-quality ingredients they contain, all spray tanning solutions have one thing in common -- they're all capable of making a mess. Even if you're getting your body spray tanning done by an experienced pro, you're still going to have to deal with over-spray. The easiest and fastest way to achieve beach waves is to separate your hair in sections and put them into pigtails. Take one strand, apply a styling mousse and start coiling it. Fix the coiled hair to your head with bobby pins. Repeat the procedure for each section. The larger your strands are, the larger and looser the curls will be. Allow your hair to dry completely, than release the coils. Use a blow dryer if necessary. Loosen up the curls by using your fingers, and fox the waves with some hairspray.

You can also use curling iron, or even a flat iron to get a more unique texture. In this case, use a heat protecting spray to make sure you wont damage your hair. Each time, separate your tresses with your fingers, relax the strands and fix them with hairspray. Try not to over do it, because the curls should be actually waves, so avoid tight curls. Being at the beach, means having fun and getting relaxed. So keep your hair simple and loose.

If you have naturally wavy or curly hair you can use a diffuser on the end of your blowdryer by tousling with your fingers and scrunching the hair, avoid manipulating the strands too much to prevent frizziness, a diffuser will do most of the work for you, for added volume tip your head upside down and diffuse, the gravity pulling the hair away from the head allows for faster drying and added texture. You will want to you a light holding curl enhancing cream or mousse. Finish off your style by tipping your head up and gently manipulating the curls into the perfect place with a light texture spray.

What a TONER does for your skin
The most important job of a toner is to restore your skin's natural pH balance. A pH scale is measured from 1 to 14 where 7 is neutral, 1 - 6.9 is acidic and 7.1 - 14 is alkaline. The optimum pH level for your skin is 5.5. So you want to aim for a pH of between 4.5 - 6.0 to achieve a healthy skin mantle to resist and fight bacteria.

This is where the toner comes in. Most cleansers have a higher pH value between 6.5 and 8.0, and while it can cut through the oil on the skin, this can also rob the skin of moisture. After cleansing, your skin's pH balance normally becomes too high and your skin has to work vigorously to restore the balance back. By using the right toner, your skin's pH level is immediately restored to it's optimum range providing the perfect condition to apply your moisturiser.

There is toner available for all types of skin types. For those with oily acne prone skin, a clarifying and exfoliating toner may help to leave your skin free from excess sebum, impurities and dead skin cells. I personally would not recommend anyone to use a toner with high alcohol content (even if you have oilyskin), as the over drying effect of such toners can cause an imbalance in your skin's pH leading to an excess in sebum production. Remember that you want to achieve a pH range of between 4.5 - 6.0.

If you have dry to normal skin, avoid toners targeted for oily skin. Look for moisturising and toners with soothing ingredients such as chamomile or azulene.

For a quality toner, look for one that is natural and organic. These toners do not contain any harmful impurities such as chemicals and additives. They combat free radicals and contain essential vitamins and minerals that are needed to repair damaged skin and maintain soft and younger looking skin.

There are a number of different types of toners for such conditions as normal skin, sensitive skin, dry skin, and oily skin. Organic toners contain revitalizing natural essential oils or natural extracts.

The correct way of applying the toner
